We are a collection of various lifeforms, coming together in organic formations and hivemind like unison. We explore the audiovisual phenomenon – the irresistible fusion that occurs when a sound and a visual, through synchronism and synthesis, is welded together in time. This approach illuminates the essence of the audiovisual experience as an immersive feeling in transition. “Sirens Call” is the tale of a far away future where uncanny humanoid sirens are roaming subliminal places in a dystopian landscape overtaken by nature's forces and mystical entities. Uncanny valleys and misty mountains are explored by the queer singing sirens set on their mission to bring back harmony and fusing human existence with nature once again. In this 4 person performance we are exploring bringing life to our virtual avatars through technology such as full body motion capture suits and face tracking and fusing the power of multiple laptops together as one.
